Saqr Al Marashda(Senior Manager - Airspace Management)
Saqr has joined GCAA in 2005 as a trainee in the National ATC Program, in 2008 he got validated as an air traffic controller and progressed to get endorsed as an on job training instructor and assumed the duties of the ATC watch supervisor. By 2014 he transferred to the training section of Sheikh Zayed Air Navigation Centre where he oversaw multiple training courses and led the project of dual ATC simulator and also supervised the National ATC program. In 2021 Saqr has been appointed as Manager – Airspace Management where mainly the flight procedure design is conducted, airspace sectors are designed, and being the link between various stakeholders within the ANS industry. Saqr is a members of many advisory and technical panels and committees, right now he is the chairman of the Middle East Region Flight Procedures Program Steering Committee and a member of the Instrument Flight Procedure Program Panel.
