The Flight Operations department includes the following sections:
- Air Carrier
- Air Transport Operations
Overall Flight Operations responsibilities:
- Supporting the preparation and the update of the:
- Flight operations regulations
- Environment technical regulation (e.g. emission and noise)
- Conducting inspections and audits:
- National commercial operators
- National General Aviation (airplane and helicopters) and Special operators (airplane and helicopters)
- Issuing and renewing AOC for air carriers and air transport operators
- Issuing and renewing POC for private operators and special operators
- Providing oversight on the environmental compliance.
- Authorization and re-authorization of Type Rating Examiner and Type Rating Instructor in order to ascertain compliance with standards.
Air Carrier
Responsible for the following activities:
- Perform routine and random inspection of scheduled operationsز
- Prepare regulations for scheduled operations .
- Support the preparation of cabin operations regulations for scheduled operations
- Recommend issuing AOC for air carrier operators.
- Evaluate and recommend approval of operational specifications and approve procedures and manuals, including emergency and evacuation plans.
- Investigate and follow up on ROSI and VORSY reports (as required)
Air Transport Operations
Responsible for the following activities:
- Approve planned and unplanned inspections on unscheduled operations (e.g. chartered flights/other civilian aircrafts/helicopters)
- Support the preparation of cabin operations regulations for private and special operations/unscheduled operations.
- Conduct cabin inspection and audits for unscheduled private and special operators.
- Recommend issuing AOC/POC for unscheduled private and special operators.
- Evaluate and recommend approval of operational specifications and approve procedures and manuals, including emergency and evacuation plans.
- Participate in providing recommendations for enforcement cases and other investigation activities.
- Investigate and follow up on ROSI and VORSY reports (as required)
