The Policies, Regulations and Planning department in the Aviation Safety Affairs sector is responsible for the management, development and control of all technical systems, regulations and internal procedures in collaboration with the technical units of the safety affairs sector namely Airworthiness, Flight Operations, Licensing and Air Navigation & Aerodromes.
The department is responsible for the following key functions:
- Formulating and modernization of aviation safety policies and regulations
- Planning and standards
- Certify Unmanned Aircraft Organisations & Drone Registration.
- Strategic Safety & Performance
- Aircraft registration
